The Valley of Halifax is a constituent body of the Ancient and Accepted Scottish Rite of Freemasonry in Canada with membership from across the province of Nova Scotia.
We are comprised of:
We meet at Freemasons Hall in Halifax on the 3rd Thursday of each month except June to August.
Valley Meetings are held on the 14° so that all members, regardless of where they are in their Scottish Rite journey, can attend and participate.
Members of the Valley of Halifax are very active in work with the Scottish Rite Learning Centre for Children of Halifax and in supporting the Scottish Rite Charitable Foundation of Canada.
For members in communities distant from Halifax there are two Scottish Rite Clubs that meet regularly for social events and for special degree portrayals, the Annapolis Valley Scottish Rite Club and the Northumberland Scottish Rite Club.
We also hold a number of social events such as our annual Ladies Night Dinner Theatre and an annual Master Mason Day.
Degrees are conferred at Reunions held in October, November, and April for Lodge of Perfection, Chapter and Consistory respectively and we also hold Rose Croix observances on Maundy Thursday and Easter Sunday.
Membership is open to any Master Mason in good-standing of a Craft Lodge who resides within the province of Nova Scotia.
