Member Spotlight

The Valley of Halifax has members from all parts of Nova Scotia, and all walks of life, who are active in the Scottish Rite and many other Masonic Bodies. To recognize those Brothers we’ve begun a monthly member spotlight feature here at valleyofhalifax.com.

In our inaugural installment of Member Spotlight we proudly introduce

Illustrious Brother Edward A.T. Verge 32°.

Ill. Bro. Verge is a long-time member of The Valley of Halifax who has served as the Thrice Puissant Grand Master of Victoria Lodge of Perfection, the Most Wise Sovereign of Keith Sovereign Chapter of the Rose Croix, and has been an active participant in numerous degree teams and on many committees.

In Craft Masonry Ed is a member of St. Andrews Lodge No. 1, John Albro No. 122, Fairview No. 126, all on the Registry of the Grand Lodge of Nova Scotia, and The Royal Standard No. 398 on the Registry of the United Grand Lodge of England.

Ed says that what he likes most about the Scottish Rite are the degree portrayals and our Scottish Rite Charities.

When asked what he’d say to prospective members interested in joining the Scottish Rite Ed says that they would be embarking on a wonderful journey within a rite that has a little something for everybody.
