to the Valley of Halifax

The Ancient and Accepted Scottish Rite expands upon the lessons found in the first three degrees of Freemasonry. It greatly strengthens and extends their teachings by ritual, drama, and allegory. The Scottish Rite assists a Master Mason who wishes to continue his personal journey of exploration and contemplation on what it means to be a Freemason in today’s society. It seeks not to teach men truth but, instead, a way to truth. The Degrees of the Scottish Rite give allegorical examples from earlier cultures, raising questions of morality which challenge us to reflect. Scottish Rite Freemasonry provides the path on which the Master Mason may travel throughout his lifetime. This is the opportunity, the challenge and, the reward that the Scottish Rite has to offer.

Meetings of the Valley of Halifax are held at Freemasons Hall, 165 Coronation Avenue in Halifax on the 3rd Thursday of each month except June to August.
