WELCOME

Welcome to the Valley of Halifax, Ancient and Accept2crossed Scottish Rite of Freemasonry of Canada.

The Ancient and Accepted Scottish Rite is an extension of the degrees of the Craft Masonic Lodges.  Scottish Rite may also be viewed as its own educational institution. It seeks not to teach men the truth but, instead, a way to the truth. The Degrees of the Scottish Rite, from the 4th to the 32nd, do not reveal specific lessons but give allegorical examples from earlier cultures, raising questions of morality which challenge us to reflect. Freemasonry is a journey of self-discovery and self-development. The Ancient and Accepted Scottish Rite expands upon the lessons founded in the first three degrees of Freemasonry.

Meetings of the Valley of Halifax, Ancient and Accepted Scottish Rite are held at Freemasons’ Hall, 165 Coronation Avenue in Halifax generally on the 3rd Thursday of each month except June to August.  What’s going on this month?  Go to our EVENTS page.
